The "Mojave Experiment"
I’ll admit, I’m a complete Mac person. I swear by my 5 year old Powerbook and can’t wait to finally upgrade when (if?) this one kicks it. That being said, I’ve appreciated the ad campaigns Apple has run mocking Windows Vista.  Here’s the twist - Vista struck back. And it’s brilliant. I won’t be switching to a PC any day soon, but I certainly appreciate...

Thou shalt not covet, but...
I want this. The aesthetic is so sexy! While just a prototype, Samsung has hit the nail on the head with this one.

Are we all really this jaded?
Me: So, how's the new guy?
[Redacted]: He seems so perfect...im just wondering what the catch is or if i finally just met someone that just works really well with me.
The whole situation is just taking me straight back to 8th grade...falling asleep on the phone..talking to all hours of the night. But whatever. Usually when it hits, it hits hard right?

Dear Mom, You're amazingly ahead of the curve.
When my parents built the house they now live in, they chose cork floors for the kitchen. At the time I thought it was weird (I was 17, and thought most things were weird.), but have come to adore it. Tonight I stumbled upon this blog post all about cork as a modern design element.  So, Mom, I’m impressed. Not only is it functional, but ahead of the curve. :o)

The De Rigeuer Domicile
I’ve been a fan of sartorial blogs like The Sartorialist and Face Hunter for about as long as they’ve been around.  Added to them is my weekly scan for New York’s Look Book.  Recently, I’ve noticed a trend in the blogosphere that focuses on chic abodes in a similar way. Among others, there’s Ferm Living’s Clever Spaces - which I love for ideas on how to design &...

When you’re from the country (yes, there’s country in Jersey) and your parents are buddies with the police chief, you can get away with setting off illegalinmoststates-fireworks over your fields.  Nothing says “Happy 4th!” like my dad almost not making it out of the field while setting off fireworks extreme enough to make the dog… well… let’s ignore that...
